I'm someone who genuinely loves figuring out why things work the way they do. Whether that's a market, a system, or a room full of people, I'm always looking for the pattern underneath.
Honestly, my curiosity has always gotten me into trouble in the best way. It started with a 7:30 AM investments class where someone told me "invest when the market is down" like it was an easy thing to just figure out. I couldn't just accept that.
I started pulling apart every concept, questioning what I thought I knew, and somewhere in there I fell in love with the idea that data can tell you the truth if you know how to listen.
I'm a third year Econometrics student at SJSU but honestly my education has happened just as much outside the classroom. I've built trading models, forecasted foreign exchange reserves for Singapore's central bank, led a data analytics club with a really good team, consulted for a civic nonprofit, and worked in operations serving over a thousand people a day. I like being in the thick of things.
What drives me isn't any one industry. It's the moment when something complex becomes clear. When the numbers tell a story. When a policy actually works for the people it's meant to serve. When a community comes together because someone built the right framework for it.
